National Greening Program (NGP) is the DENR flagship program of PNOY administration. It aims to rehabilitate the Philippine forest. It seeks to grow plants and vegetables on all land area of the public domain. Hence, Moonwalk National High School thru the TLE Department, establish the Gulayan sa Paaralan. It makes use of the land area at the back of the school to be a growing location for vegetable garden. The harvested crop goes directly to the canteen to supply the School Feeding Program.
School Eco – Savers Program
One of the program of the school is to significantly reduce waste materials generated in our school, consistent with relevant provisions of Republic Act No. 9003, otherwise known as Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000”, students, teachers and non-teaching personnel are required to practice waste segregation at all times within the school premises.
These waste materials shall be collected and weighed-in subsequently every Friday, by members of the School Eco-Savers Club. Each room will be given a National Eco-Savers Program Student Passbook where collected waste materials are given points accordingly.
Likewise, the best student-implementers and the class advisers will be given Awards of Recognition.
